I know, I know. I’ve been horrible about this blogging thing. It’s often hard to figure out what to blog about for starters and as soon as you have an idea about what you can blog about, the phone rings or you get an email. Geesh!

Today I’d like to blog about Akismet and the Akismet key provided by Wordpress. Before I get into that though, I’d like to say that up until this time, I’ve been a great fan of Joomla and still am. I started building websites with Mambo and when some of the members left and went to Joomla, I liked support and community members around it. Needless to say, I ended up getting very lucky with this domain name. So not all familiar with wordpress, I thought because it said blog and Wordpress was the most popular, I’d use it. Not only for the experience of using it, but for my clients who may ask for it.

Needless to say, I started using Wordpress from Wordpress.org but did not sign up with an account on wordpress.com. So, my first impression of Wordpress wasn’t all that great. On a daily basis, I was getting so many spam comments it was ridiculous. I had gotten to the point that I just discarded all comments automatically and was almost afraid to log into the justinsblog.com because of the number of comments I have to sift through and bulk moderate.

Anyway, I ended up doing a search on Google and found Wordpress.com and signed up and got my akismet key. I entered it into the little box a couple weeks ago and forgot about it. Logged in today and the only comment I had to approve was a legitimate one, (sorry I did not respond sooner Bryan). I hadn’t even noticed that the emails stopped completely.

So, this blog, which is long over due , is simply my experience with this Wordpress.org software, which is free to all. Use the akismet key and you’ll be glad you did. I was afraid to even log in with the amount of spam comments I had to moderate… while trying not to miss a legit comment that someone took the time to write.

OK, blogging is getting better. I hope to put more up here and now that I actually remember that this site is here, I think I’ll start using it. Thanks to the Akismet Key, I’m beginning to like this wordpress software. … OK, can I be done now?

Jan. 30, 2008 - Within hours after the successful completion of the Extended auctions performed by SnapNames.com at Oversee.net’s DomainFest Global auction, word was sent down from Oversee.net to start letting SnapNames employees go. Inside sources at Oversee.net said that after successfully auctioning over $3 million in domain names, Oversee.net’s Human Resources staff called several employees of SnapNames into conference rooms where they were told to quietly pack up their desks and leave the premises. Nearly 20% of the SnapNames staff quietly packed up and walked away both puzzled and jobless.

A little about SnapNames.com

SnapNames.com was founded in Portland Oregon in 2000, quickly became the largest available source of expired and deleting domain names. What they did is secured agreements with large domain Registrars that gave them exclusive access to deleting domain names. SnapNames would then auction of these deleting domains for $60 to several hundred thousand dollars.

What basically happens here is you put a $60 bid on a domain name and if you are the only interested party, the domain will be yours after the auction. However, if there are other interested parties, the domain name could be bid up and sold at nearly any price. Strategic agreements with key domain Registrars allowed the domain name not to be deleted and thus automatically placed in a SnapNames auction to be sold to the highest bidder.

In June of 2007, one of the largest domain monetization companies, in the business, Oversee.net (DomainSponsor.com), purchased SnapNames.com for an estimated 26 million. Little did they know, that SnapNames was about to lose their contract with Network Solutions to NameJet.com, which “appears as to be a joint venture between eNom and Network Solutions“, but owned by Network Solutions.

So what’s going to happen with SnapNames?

At this stage, it’s too early to know. We have heard however that Moniker, (Also recently purchased by Oversee.net) will be handling the next DomainFest auction and the future of SnapNames.

In the domain expiring business, whoever has the relationship with Network Solutions, rules the roost and SnapNames lost that agreement shortly after the Oversee.net buy-out. From the outside looking in, 2008 looks like the end of SnapNames and beginning of Network Solution’s NameJet.com.

Ipower sucks based on my research and dealing with them.

So you know, I build websites and along with that service, assist my customers with managing their domain names. I end up dealing with a lot of different registrars and web hosting as well as web developers and I’m here to tell ya, what a mess ICANN has allowed the industry has become.

Before I get into much more, I have currently been on hold and in live chat for over an hour and been oh hold for exactly 58 minutes with iPower.com. I have a client who had originally purchase his domain and hosting at IPOWER.com or iPower web. This is a company that resells domains to it’s customers from Tucows, commonly known as OpenSRS. My client wants the domain name transferred into his DomainPar.com account so we can set up hosting there as well.

Generally, the process should be very simple. Here’s the order in which this would take place in a perfect world:

Typical Domain Transfer Procedure:

Login to your current registrar

Go into the domain control panel and unlock the domain name

Retrieve the EPP Code, also known as the domain transfer authorization Code.

Login to your new registrar and request a transfer by entering both the domain name and the Authorization or EPP code and proceed through the process of requesting a transfer.

The Administration contact email on the domain name would be contacted by the receiving Registrar usually with a link to approve the requesting transfer.

Transfer is approved and unless denied by the losing registrar or locked, the domain name transfers in 5 days and then you are notified of the incoming transfer via email.

Sounds easy enough, right? Well, not at IPOWER Web and many other registrars out there. First, I was able to login to my client’s iPower web account but then couldn’t proceed with step two because their interface or API doesn’t provide a link to unlock your domain name. So I did a search they tell you everything about locking a domain name but nothing on how to unlock your domain name. Their site sends you to all kinds articles with links and information on how to transfer into IPOWER.com but nothing on how to unlock your domain and get the auth code to transfer away. This is not only costly but time consuming.

So, I proceed to contact support. Still logged in so it must go into some sort of support ticket system. I took some time and requested that they unlock the domain name and send the auth code to the administrative contact on the domain name… Pushed Send… the next page says this:

I’m sorry, but there has been a problem submitting your inquiry to IPOWER Support.

Please try submitting your request again. If you continue to have trouble with this form, you can always contact us directly by email, chat with a live agent, or call us at 888-511-4678.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Note: If you are experiencing service issues, please check the Support Center for Important System notices.

Is the above supposed to be some sort of dry humor? Now, I’ve currently been on hold for exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes listening to “You may find the information that you need by visiting support section of our website.” Of course still in live chat… oops, just missed them. No worries, their phone must work at some point during my blog writing… It took IPOWER almost an hour and 30 minutes to respond via live chat support:

Albert Lewis: Hi XXXX, I apologize for the wait time. My name is Albert, how are you today?

Albert Lewis: Did you receive my last message?

Albert Lewis: I’m sorry, it appears that we may have been disconnected. I am going to close this chat, please feel free to chat with us again.

So, I’ve emailed support and that failed. Tried to get the information myself on behalf of my client, that failed. Have nearly 2 hours tied up in this one simple domain name already and I cannot contact iPower in any way shape or form.. and have now missed Albert in Live Support. So, let’s go to the Support Section.

Here’s what I found in the Support Section ‘Search’ of IPOWER web: <block></block>

<block>Items found matching keywords ‘unlock’:</block>

Troubleshooting: Why is my domain locked?

Configuring: Completing the Registrar Transfer Request for an automated registrar transfer

Unlocking the value of your customers

A search for “EPP” gave me this: We’re sorry, no items containing this phrase were found.

<block>Items found matching keywords ‘Authorization Code’:</block>

Requirements: Registry requirements for registrar transfer

Configuring: Completing the Registrar Transfer Request for an automated registrar transfer

Configuring: Obtaining an authorization code for registrar transfer

Now, after an hour and a half I finally had a live person on the phone. The operator, to IPOWER’s credit, was a very nice gentleman named Troy. I explained to him exactly what I was trying to do with my client’s domain name and he was very helpful. Almost instantly, Troy told me that what I had to do was:

How to Transfer you Domain Name from IPower

Go to manage.opensrs.net and enter your Domain Name, Username and Password to your iPower web account.

Go down to Domain Locking and disable locking

Then click on Domain Extras and you will be presented with the EPP or authorization code.

That was exactly it too. So I spent over 2 hours trying to find out how to unlock and transfer a domain name out of iPower web while both on hold and in live chat support, when this is something that they could have just put on their website for their customers. I continued to explain to Troy the difficulty in obtaining this information from the iPower.com website and although he was very helpful and understood my complaint, it still took 2 hours to accomplish this. He was extremely polite and professional and should be given a raise but overall, iPower makes it extremely difficult to get the information you need to transfer your domain to another registrar.

IPOWER makes it difficult to transfer

This is not uncommon with Domain Resellers and often time ICANN Accredited Domain Registrars. Although they are supposed to make this information readily available, very few actually do it because the controlling organization doesn’t enforce or cannot enforce the policies that they write. Below it the toothless ICANN written policy:

Registrars may not employ any mechanism for complying with a Registered Name Holder’s request to obtain the applicable “AuthInfo Code” that is more restrictive than the mechanisms used for changing any aspect of the Registered Name Holder’s contact or name server information. - ICANN.org

Now, while the above may be Policy according to ICANN, this policy is broken by most domain registration companies including GoDaddy. Most of them have mechanisms in place that are meant to confuse or detour the domain registrant from transferring their domain to another registrar and this is the case with Ipower.com.

My Recommendation

Do business with companies you trust that will provide you with the information you need to manage your domain name when you need it without all the hassle. One of my favorite registrars, (due to the ease of domain management) is Fabulous.com. For my customers, I’ve developed an all in one solution called DomainPar.com which isn’t as friendly as Fabulous.com however, I personally take care of much of the set-up of their accounts and hosting and provide a more personalized support level.

Lots of Complaints about IPOWER Web

GoDaddy's Beavers get shot down by Fox for Super Bowl Sunday!

When I think of GoDaddy I can’t help think of brunettes with big boobs and a pimpish looking Bob Parsons that hosts his own online talk show, similar in format to the Howard Stern show. This is the image that Bob Parsons and GoDaddy have incorporated into their websites and their advertising.

Recently, Fox television rejected two of the latest GoDaddy Ads . In his latest blog post, Bob Parsons writes:

“Last week, FOX network rejected Go Daddy’s Super Bowl ad because an actor referred to a beaver – a replica beaver that was, in fact, being portrayed – as a “beaver.” We were told that under no circumstance could we use that word, and if we didn’t say the word “beaver,” the ad would be approved.

A beaver by any other name.

Call me old fashioned, but I believe here in America it’s ridiculous to have to refer to a beaver (the furry, dam building, rodent-like swimming mammal) by something other than its real name, which happens to be “beaver.” So I refused to bend and refer to the beaver as “whiskers” or “furry friend” or as a “little engineer that specializes in building small dams.” Darn it. There’s simply nothing wrong with calling a beaver, a beaver!” - Bob Parsons

Kudos to Fox for rejecting the ad!

If you have already seen his previous Super Bowl Ads or visited his website, you’ll quickly understand just what kind of ‘beaver’ Bob Parsons is referring to when he puts it in a commercial with his GoDaddy Girls, (Beavers). Sex sells and Bob Parsons has been known to push it to the limit in his advertising efforts. 2008 Playboy Magazine featured the 21 sexiest commercials of all time GoDaddy has made the grade. Here is that uncut commercial:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhFMD6ybP2E

In his latest online podcast talk show featuring Danica Patrick, he goes on and on about his disappointment with the decision not to allow the word beaver to be mentioned on Super Bowl Sunday. Danica could even see that this commercial was on the racy side of the line and if you’ve never heard Danica speak… Just listen to the conversation between Bob Parsons and Danica Patrick and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

GoDaddy sells quantity, not quality

For those of you who don’t know what GoDaddy is, they are an ICANN Accredited, (Means very little) Domain Name registrar and web hosting company. As a professional in the industry, we don’t use GoDaddy because their services are geared towards quantity, not quality. Aside from that, their website is so cluttered up with junk and suggestive selling of inferior services that it makes it difficult to manage a domain name with them. However, if you like beavers with boobs when purchasing a domain name, then GoDaddy is the place for you.

GoDaddy Sucks Video - Mature Only

While searching for an uploaded version of his podcast I ran into this video. This man in this video obviously doesn’t like GoDaddy and for some very obvious reasons. Although I wouldn’t publish a video like this one myself, I have to believe that many others share his sentiment and frustration. MC Artificial Video - make sure your children are not in the room.

Don’t buy Beaver, Boobs and Ego - Buy Domains

If boobs is what you’re into purchasing, by all means, to each their own. However, when it comes to domain names, it’s serious business and if you do a search on Google, you’ll find that many people have lost their domain names or websites with GoDaddy. GoDaddy seems to be focused too much on selling beavers and sex and not enough on what their customers really want, which is peace of mind when purchasing a domain name. Big numbers are great, and so are big boobs, but in the end, it’s all boils down to the quality of the service provided and giving back to humanity.

As a veteran in the domain name business, I highly recommend putting your domain eggs in a better basket. Below are a couple Domain Registrars that we like and use.

Name.com - Colorado company focused on providing service, not beavers. We’ve used them for over 4 years and have never had a single issue with them.

DomainPar.com - My own and personal favorite for registering domain names and a good reseller program.

Fabulous.com - One of the safest and cleanest domain registrars in the business.

Today I went to EJ Thomas Hall in Akron Ohio to a forum that the University of Akron sponsors. They invite different speakers from all over the world for the benefit of the local community. The speaker today was Don Tapscott, author of Wikinomics which is basically a real good introduction for non-internet savvy individuals who desire to understand the paradigm shift of both the corporate business model and social collaboration.

Anyway, the video here produced by Cambridge House is very good and very informative and I highly recommend watching it and as far as actually seeing him talk in person… I’d recommend skipping it because he basically tries to say verbatim, the exact same thing in this video.

Special thanks to The University of Akron for sponsoring this forum for the community. There are good number of speakers this year and I plan on attending them all. I will continue to write about each speaker during the forum and will try to find videos to be posted here.

I get this question a lot. I’ve also heard many people talk about how they wont do business with PayPal because they’ve heard of people getting victimized by PayPal. While I can’t speak for everyone else, I want to share a little bit of experience that may be helpful to some other users out there who might be on the fence about doing business on the Internet and choosing Paypal as a service provider.

First let me say that I’ve been a member of PayPal since 1998, (10 years) and have never lost money or had money stolen from me through their service. I can’t give an exact figure of the amount of money that has gone through Paypal in that time of my doing business with them but at times I’ve had over $3000 in my account from eBay sales or whatever. Anytime there was an issue, it was resolved amicably and quickly by contacting them.

PayPal Steals Your Money - not really

I’ve seen blogs and heard complaints like this many times but this usually isn’t the case. What happens is, people voluntarily give out their Paypal account information to phishing emails and then the thief gains access to the account based on what you’ve given them. Aside from that, they are working on security issues all the time to improve their services and prevent this type of stuff.

Identity Theft - How does a thief get my Information?

Let me tell you that they are brilliant. What they do is send you emails that look exactly like they are coming from PayPal. However, they usually address you, “Dear Paypal Member”. If the email was coming from Paypal, it would address you by your full name. They have links within these emails for you to verify your information and when an unsuspecting newbie follows those links and then offers their Paypal information on a page that looks like Paypal, guess what?… You’ve just become a victim. What I will do many times, because some of these email are so convincing, I’ll take and mouse over the link and see where it’s going to lead me to. Also, as soon as the email comes in that is suspicious at all, I’ll simply forward it to spoof@paypal.com and they will do whatever they do to stop it.

What is Phishing? - Fraud that is specifically designed to steal your identity. Usually, a phishing email will have a fake story that’s designed to lure you into clicking a link or button in the email or calling a phone number. The sender is trying to steal your identity by tricking you into revealing your password or other personal information.

When I signed up for a Paypal account originally, it was fairly easy. Now they want you to verify everything and rightfully so because there are so many fraudsters online. Many eBay sellers and others won’t even do business with you if you are not a verified Paypal Member. They do this by depositing two small amounts into a bank account number you have provided and then you have to put those amounts into their form. This seems to be a good verification system. Back in 1998 and 1999 it was much less secure.

Protect your Identity and Paypal Account Information

Here are a couple suggestions I can offer that not only apply to Paypal but to many other financial institutions that are online. I get similar emails from Chase, National City, eBay and any other account I have.

Paypal will NEVER ask you for full name and or password, PERIOD! 10 years I’ve been with them, they’ve never done such a thing… ever. So if they are asking you to verify your identity, they are out to steal it.

Never access Paypal from the links provided in the Email. Just don’t. Go to www.paypal.com and see if the message is in there and access your account only through direct navigation.

Attachments - Paypal will never attach anything to your email. If you get an email with an attachment that looks like it’s coming from Paypal, simply forward it to spoof@paypal.com and then add that sender to your junk email list and delete the email.

Currently and for many years, I’ve used Paypal for a number of transactions including an eBay power seller, selling domains, purchasing products in other countries, loaning my mates money, putting money on my wife’s card instantly, etc etc. I have it set up so my Paypal account, if empty will pull directly from my checking account and not worried a bit about it. I also have two other backup funding sources so many of my transactions will funnel through Paypal whether I have the money or not because it’s ads an additional layer of protection.

Also, I work with a Non Profit Organization that solely uses Paypal in their store check-out. At any given time there is between $1000 and $10,000 dollars in their account and since it’s been set up, it works seamlessly. Every month or so, I simply send a withdrawl request to Paypal and it transfers the funds to my clients Bank account within a couple days.

So, all in all, Paypal has provided nothing shy of superior services for my uses of it throughout my 10 year relationship. Most people that get taken advantage of are the ones who willingly give up their information to phishing scams. Here are a couple links that I’d advise you to take a look if you have any questions about security and Paypal.

Feel free to comment below if you have any concerns or specific questions. I’ll do my best to address them… and NO, I don’t work for Paypal.

Most people refer to God like another human being and that he’s allowing people to starve and evil in the world. That’s funny to me because it’s man that has created all of that. Man creates his world through his thoughts and perception and it’s man who has created the evil.

We currently have mess because Man for one, doesn’t understand MAN. Second, because Man doesn’t understand what God is. Religions have defined God for each sect. Each religion views God differently. Matter of fact, God is a name man created to identify this source we know very little about.

Accepting God is accepting oneself and accepting the fact that we are co-creating this entire universe with our thoughts and actions. So long as we fashion our lives solely based on physical existence, we’re going to continue creating evil and destruction.

Peace and happiness can only be found within and the acceptance of it won’t come until we understand what God really is. The footprints are in the sand the entire way baby. Peace isn’t something we have to go seeking or reaching for. The peace of God is within everyman should he open his blinded eyes and see that the light is in all creation and the light is good.

Now that we have God nailed down to a fictitious entity in the sky or heaven, we can blame God and fear God instead of Man finding the God within himself and within his fellow man. Let’s not forget that Jesus spoke in a language of science and it’s the translations and the doctrines that man has decided in the Bible that many of todays believers place their entire lives in.

LOL. In my opinion, people are clueless. We have been told certain things and taught certain things and from one generation to the next, this information is passed. For most Christians, it’s unimaginable that God isn’t what the man of the Bible has described him to be. Religions are set in their beliefs and they all believe differently. The word is only one word… yet it’s twisted by individual interpretations and perceptions. Now look at what it’s done to us. Christians and Muslims fighting and killing each other. Hate is breeding hate and it’s because of some screwed up mentality that we all believe in different forms of God.

Man, from all walks of life has built his identity on his physical self and the accumulation of wealth or whatever. What is man? Geesh, with all the technology we don’t even know the answer to that very simple question. Most religious men believe they are their body. Their existence relies on whether or not their physical body is alive or not. If we continue to identify ourselves with things of this earth or with things outside of ourselves, we’re going to keep destroying each other… I don’t care if you call yourself a saint.

So, step back and take a look at a few facts. These are facts and I know their facts because I know they are. I’ve experienced them in my own life.

The entire universe is Energy in Motion!

Thought is energy. First is thought, then is manifestation. Nothing in the physical world can be manifested without the thought of it first.

We are our own worst enemy… I can prove it, just take a look at the news.

We blame God or others for things we create.

The above are facts. Whether or not one wants to perceive them to be facts is completely up to them but there’s not a doubt in my mind.

So in essence, we are living creation in the form of energy with universal mind… divided only by our perception. Christians perceive Muslims to be wrong and visa versa. It’s the perception that divides. Both create. We all create.

So, does Man control Man or does God? What is God then if we know for a fact the Universe is energy? We can have a good day or a bad day based on our thoughts. We choose to live in poverty based on our thoughts or the mindset of the country. We have all the resources to create and live abundantly once we identify our mind. Mind is eternal and that’s what we are. So if God were a tree, we’d be the branches. One divided source of energy split into sexed opposites creating balance and beauty… but, that’s not what mankind believes or what he’s ready for.

The major difficulty with this is that many a men can currently blame God and once that’s taken away, then they realize that the only one to blame is oneself. It all starts at the center and someday we’ll understand this. The center is mind and it’s something we as beings know very little about… because instead of living our lives to identify both the God within ourselves, creation and fellow man, we’re out there trying to tell others who and how they should worship and what they are doing wrong.

Monetizing Your Domain Names

As a domain name collector, I’ve found through the years that there are different ways to monetize traffic to a domain name. I’ve recently experienced a product called “Build a Niche Store“, and consider it to be the best $100 I’ve spent on a ClickBank product. With so many products out there on the market, it would be impossible to use them all but when it comes to monetizing domain names that fall into a niche category, Build a Niche Store is the best I’ve seen.

What is Build a Niche Store?

Build a Niche Store is basically a website system or builder that allows you to create a website quickly serving Niche eBay products via an affiliate RSS Feed from Commission Junction. Essentially, Build a Niche Store is a php software you can unzip and upload to your host and produce a basic eBay Niche store within minutes. The neat thing is that it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do this. There’s also not an overwhelming learning curve. It’s simple and effective and it seems to be working well based on my experimentation with it so far. The product cost is around $100 and is available for purchase through ClickBank.com.

Niche Stores and Ebay

An eBay Niche store actually makes a lot of sense. If you think about it, you can go to eBay and it takes a while to find exactly what you are looking for. There are so many options and so many ways to search eBay, it can be confusing for someone wanting to browse a certain category. Basically with a Niche Store, you do that searching for them and provide them narrowed results in a nice looking template. The beauty of this is that eBay will pay you for products that are sold through your eBay store.

Hockey Store - StickRack.com - example

This was my first BANS site. Nothing fancy and not a lot of time into it, but effective so far in producing more income than it would if it were parked at Sedo, Fabulous, Domain Sponsor or any others. This website was basically slapped up on the server with about 2 hours getting used to how things work and reading directions. The neat thing is, it’s already producing a little bit of income which so far is more than traditional parking. The potential is there, the next step is optimizing. I’ll do some blogging on this as well.

How you make money with BANS - Build a Niche Store?

That’s simple. eBay has an affiliate program that is managed by Commission Junction that pays you for traffic you send through your site to eBay.

“You will be compensated for traffic you send to ebay.com in two distinct ways: earn between 50% and 75% of eBay’s Revenue (not item sale price) on ALL Winning Bids or Buy It Nows (BINs) within 7 days of an affiliate action AND up to $35.00 for each active registered user!”

Now, I’ve been an eBay powerseller and have sold products on eBay. There’s a lot involved in this. First you have to set up your eBay account… which can take up some time. Then you have to take pictures of items and write descriptions. Usually powersellers have some sort of services they purchase monthly to assist them with this. Once your product is sold, you collect payment and then box and ship to the user. Selling on eBay is not a piece of cake at all. It takes work and emails and following up with your customers. There are many times I’ve sold items and actually lost money on poor shipping calculations, PayPal fees, damaged goods, etc.

With BANS you just sell others peoples items. It’s that easy. The Build a Niche Store software is a content management system all by itself and you simply enter your CJ.com PID into the correct spot on the set-up and then enter the category number of the Ebay items you want to host. The auctions are fed into your site through the affiliate RSS feed. Essentially, you can set up and optimize a store and it’s on autopilot. Then build another one and keep going. The sky is the limit. What’s neat, is you are making money and not having to deal with all the headaches of being an eBay seller.

Here are some steps with Links to get you started:

Build a Niche Store - First step, read the page. Understand it. It’s not a lot of phony hype and it does work. It also provides you with exact directions. Purchase and download the zip file.

Commission Junction - Sign up through their affiliate program. Search for the Advertiser eBay and request to be added as an affiliate. This process is usually approved automatically and quickly.

Hosting Account - Get a hosting account through HostGator. For Niche Stores, I recommend the Swamp which is $14 a month and can host unlimited websites.

The rest is relatively detailed but not difficult at all. I will produce a video for this and upload it eventually with text to follow.

For anyone who purchases Build a Niche Store through my link and gets hosting from Hostgator, I will help you set up your first store as well as your hosting account. Use the contact me link on this website.

OK, that’s one of my New Year Resolutions. I apologize to the 10,000 people who visit here each month that there hasn’t been any updates however, now it’s time to commit and start blogging. I guess it starts with a first step… back to, “What do I blog about?”…

… Well for starters, it’s a new year. This is 2008 and it’s going to be a good year for everyone and I just have that feeling. While there may be a lot of financial systems failing currently and the war going on in Iraq, and of course the new Presidential Elections for the US… It’s still going to be a good year! Why?

That’s a great question. My answer is simple. It’s going to be a good year because I’m going to make it a good year. Why is that?… Well, because I’m not going to make it a bad year. Does that make sense? Most certainly it does. Please allow me to explain.

The year ahead, this great 2008, is going to be exactly what we make of it. If we believe it’s going to be a bad year, then what can we expect?… Bad! It’s very elementary if you think about it. You will get what you expect. Same goes for life. If our expectations are small, so is the get.

I’m happy to be here and happy to be blessed with a computer and the opportunity to live and grow up in this age of technology and the Internet. It’s 2008 and it’s going to be a good year because we’re going to make it a good year. There are a lot of negative things happening in the world today and it’s important to focus on the positive things that are equal to, or even greater than all the negative ones. As I grow older I have discovered for myself that the Universe is merely a reflection of what each of us reflects into it.

My New Years Resolutions

Blog - Yep, that’s what this is. It’s a WordPress Blog and it’s sort of my first.

Quit Smoking - This is the year I’m going to quit smoking. It’s a horrible habit and it’s something that almost governs a persons life and it’s time to quit.

See the Good in All Things - Work harder to find and see the good in all things and discard the negatives or bad things. This takes time and practice and it’s work in progress.

More Family Time - This is important. Although I work from home, it’s still very difficult to get quality family time.

Have a Great Year - Yep, tis the season.

That about sums it for my New Years Blog. It’s a start and hope you will enjoy reading and hope your new year is a wonderful and prosperous one as well.
